We are
going to walk through each step needed to produce fabric, everything
from the shearing of the sheep to washing the wool, spinning and
then weaving the fabric. Yes, you are actually going to get to do
all these activities yourself!
There will
be observing of the activity this weekend; there will be hands-on
involvement. You are actually going to put your hands on the
sheep, wash the wool, put your hand to the spindle and finish up by
weaving your own shawl that you take will home and wear!
At the end
of the class we will all have a better understanding of the
incredible detail that is put into a piece of fabric.
Pre-spun
yarn will be used to weave the shawl.
